All of the studies for Eye of the Beholder led the way to this work. It seems like they talk to you sometimes…
This is the largest piece in the portfolio and the heaviest, somewhere around 70 pounds. A special hanger is needed.
So what do we have here? The pupil is made of two, four-inch magnifying glasses held in place with specially contoured stained glass lead. The cosmos melts into the eye portrayed in a wood design. Some see the eye of God, some see this and more.
Kurt Vonnegut said, “We are the eyes and the ears of the creator of the universe.”
You see yourself three times, if you look closely into the eye. A diamond of the interactive concept.
